안녕하세요?

미국 소셜연금과 한국 국민연금을 동시 수령시,

한국 국민연금의 50%까지 차감해서 지급하는 법안인 WEP (Windfall Elimination Provision) 법안이 올해 1월5일부터 폐지된다는 기사를 보았는데, 이게 지금 실제로 시행되고 있는지요?

법안 폐기가 시행되면 , 24년 1월부터 차감된 금액도 소급해 back pay 해준다고 한다고 하던데.. 언제부터 시행되는건가요?

"The Social Security Fairness Act, HR 82, concerning the Windfall Elimination Provision and Government Pension Offset, was signed into law on January 5, 2025. Upon implementation, the Social Security Fairness Act eliminates the reduction of Social Security benefits while entitled to public pensions from work not covered by Social Security.

The Social Security Administration is evaluating how to implement the Act. We will provide more information as soon as available."
