How awful careless mistake I made to myself!

Lost i-94 original copy + all of old passports, s/s card early this year while I had clearned up some clutters in my room.

Korean passport got renewed.

Just received a letter for I-485 interview scheduled in two months. but, being told I-94 org copy + old passports are one of mandotory documentation to bring with me for an interview. All I have is the copy of them used for I-140 & I-485 had filed back in August, 2007.

My case has been filed Sep, 2003 as skilledworker, # 3 and the priority date is Aug. 2007 for I-485. So far, I-140 has been approved and thought my dream become true soon. But, now, due to my careless mistake, what would happen to all of my family who's been waiting for Green card for years.

Pls advise what should I do, any altertive documenation to prove I landed this country legally.

Anxiously awaiting for a help. Thanks alot

Apply for replacement of I-94 as soon as possible. The better you comply with the list for interview, the better you would be in situation in the interview.

Remember, once the officer starts to find flaws in your application, s/he will not step back unless s/he is substantially convinced by the evidence. It wouldn't be matter whether or not the missing evidence is substantial but the Service will try to remain under control during the interview.

If you received I-797, check all original documents.

Thanks for a replying. Sent an application of I-120 today along with copy of I-94. Being told it will take abt 3 months and there's no express service. Is this right? Meanwhile, probably I would expect to receive 'receipt notice' from USCIS. If does, is it ok to bring 'receipt notice' for I-485 interview 'cause the interview date is Sep 9th, which is less than 2 months.

On the other hand, what if I ask for departdute record from Korean Counsulate, Departure record from Korean and the copy of I-94, arrival record, maybe helpful to convince interviewer my legal entry of this country. Any other alternative option you can also advise to me.

Thanks a lot,
