Q. 인컴에 변화가 생겼을때 학자금 보조

동부에서 대학 2학년에 다니고 있는 아이에 엄마입니다.

재작년과 작년엔 5만불 학비중 15000불 스칼라쉽 5000불 학생론 30000불 플러스론으로 학비를 냈습니다.
저희 집인컴이 10만불 정도 되다보니 학비보조는 못받았구요.
이번달까지 3학년을 위한 팝사 신청을 해야하는데 문제는 제가 다니던 회사가 작년 12월 문을 닫는 바람에
올해 인컴이 5만불이 채 안될것 같습니다. 물론 열심히 다른 잡을 찾고 있습니다만 제 나이가 있어 쉽지 않네요.

올해 팝사 신청할때 작년 인컴 10만불로 보고하게 되면 또 학비보조를 못받을테고 현재 저희 형편으론
도저히 학비를 부담할 수 없는 처지이다 보니 어떻게 해야 할지 모르겠네요.

학교에 회사가 close하여 job이 없어졌다는 내용으로 appeal을 하시면 됩니다.

Ok. Your situation is about Special Circumstance. If your income critically reduced by the loss of employment, your child can ask for Special Circumstance. Your child still need to complete 2014-15 FAFSA with your 2013 income tax return. Once FAFSA is processed, your child need to see a financial aid counselor. Your child need to explain a financial aid counselor that your income has been critically reduced by the loss of employment. Financial aid counselor will ask for proof of the loss of your employment. Also, heor she will ask you and your child to complete some forms. Once all documents for Special Circumstance are submitted, the office of financial aid will review your child's financial aid by professional judgement.
