Q. 운전면허 갱신에 관한 질문입니다.

안녕하세요
서보천 목사님께 여쭙니다.

현재 J비자로 미국 캘리포니아에 입국하여 운전면허를 받은 상태이고
운전면허 유효기간은 2018년 3월 31일까지입니다.

그러면서 영주권을 신청해서 EAD(employment authorization document)를 받은 상태인데요.
확인해 보니, EAD를 통해서도 운전면허를 연장할 수 있는거 같은데 방법을 좀 알 수 있으련지요?
다시 운전면허 시험 (필기와 실기)을 모두 봐야하는건지요?
알려주시면 감사하겠습니다.^^

EAD 즉 워커 퍼밋 가지고 가셔서 갱신하시면 됩니다.
일반적으로는 시험은 치지 않습니다.
그러나 종종 무작위로 필기 시험을 요구하는 경우도 있습니다.

Hi,if you want to drive in California, you must to fit one of the requirements 1. If you are registered to vote 2. If you pay residents tuition in college or university 3. If you have a house and pay the property tax, 4. If you receive a privilege ( look at the driver license law). So, if you are a none resident of California, the requirement listed above is a guideline, but your state or county's driver's license must also be valid ( how long as you drive with your Valid your country's driver's license? Well, as long as you are visiting or have a valid your state or county's license).
