Q. I-130이 1년이 다되었는데 아직도 신원조회중이라고 하네요. 이렇게 오래 걸립니까?

시민권자 아들이 어머니를 초청하는데 I-130이 1년이 다되었는데 아직도 신원조회중이라고 하네요. 이렇게 오래 걸립니까?
Initial Review
On November 18, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we certified our approval of this case and sent it to the appropriate appellate body for review. They will notify you directly when they make a final decision. If you move while this case is pending, follow the instructions provided in the notice and use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.
During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators.

각 개인마다 걸리는 소요기간이 다를수 있겟지만, 비정상적으로 지연되고 있다면, 이민국에 전화로 문의 또는 인포패스 예약후 직접 방문하셔서 지연사유에 대하여서 확인해보시기를 권해드리겠습니다. 다만 이민국에서 신원조회를 Appellate Body 에 보냈다고 하였는데, 무슨 사유로 오래 걸리는지 물어보시기를 권해드리겠습니다.
