Why are you giving up citizenship?
If you'd lost citizen you might be jeopardized losing U.S.A constitutional the Right.
Consequently even though You staying in Korea with citizenship
absolutely no any disadvantage at all.
Be smart.
Don't renounce status of Americans citizen and get the SSA enjoy your rest of life for good.

However
If you are qualified SSA in U.S.A you can automatically qualification in Korea vise versa.
I mean
even though renounced U.S.A citizenship,
You can get continually SSA check in Korea.
I'm sure for that.
Don't worry about it.
