On December 7, 2011 you obtained permanent resident status in immigrant classification F33. USCIS
received your Form N-400 on November 18, 2023, and on January 16, 2024, you appeared for an
interview to determine your eligibility for naturalization.
During the interview and review of your application, you confirmed that you had been absent from the
United States for the following time periods:
Dates of absences and number of days absent from the United States:
06/15/2015 until 08/20/2019 274 days
04/05/2020 until 08/22/2020 138 days
05/01/2022 until 08/19/2022 109 days
05/04/2023 until 09/16/2023 134 days
05/04/2021 until 08/20/2021 107 days
You were absent 762 days from the United States during the statutory period. This total does not include your departure or arrival dates.
"During your interview, you were asked why you were out of the United States for almost a
year?" " You testified that you decided to take a gap after you graduated from high school.".
You must have been physically present in the United States for at least half of the 5-year statutory
period to be eligible for naturalization under section 316 of the Immigration and Nationality Act
(INA). You were not physically present in the United States for the required number of days before
filing your application for naturalization. See section 316(a)(1) of the Immigration and Nationality
Act (INA).
Therefore, you have not demonstrated that you meet the necessary physical presence requirement.
Additionally, you have not demonstrated the continuous residence requirements for naturalization.
Continuous residence may be disrupted by an absence from the United States of more than 6 months
but less than 1 year unless you establish that you did not abandon your residence during this period.
See INA 316(b) and Title 8, Code of Federal Regulations (8 CFR,) section 316.5(c)(1)(i)..
