Q. SELL BY OWNER에게 집을샀는데

작년말에 에이전트 없이 집주인에게 직접 집을 샀습니다.
집주인은 부동산 에이전트더군요 우리측 에이전트 없이
집을 사면 가격을 싸게 해준다는 말에 그렇게 했습니다.
상대는 미국인이라 모든 거래를 영어로 했습니다
어려운 용어도 많고 이해 못하는 부분도 많아서 거래에
어려움이 많더군요, 고생끝에 에스크로를 통해 거래를 끝내고
입주하였습니다.

제가 궁금한건 제명의로 집이 정확히 됐는지 타이틀은 오지않고
집주인은 연락이 않되고 페이먼트 잘내고 있는데...
한국처럼 집문서도없고 등기확인 같은거 하려면 어떻게 해야하는지 궁금합니다.

괜한 걱정 같지만 확실하게 하고 싶어서요,

You should have received your deed. However, you can check with your County Recorder's Office to see if your deed has been recorded. If your house is in LA County, the recorder office is in Norwalk. Just go there and pay a small fee and you can look into the record. You could also go to any real estate agent office or escrow office and pay a small fee and they can check for you as well.

I bought the my house sale by owner too. Go your township and look at your property tax and it is free. It shows your name. I think it is very important to get your title. Should contact your title office and get your copy. If you want to refinance your home, you need this.
