My son is 17 and he became automatically us citizen last year due to parent's naturalization.
I want to change his first name.
I heard I have to go to the court...
I'll very appreciate if inform me regarding the name change process.
How, how long, how much...

It's $355 for the court filing fee. The publication fee can vary according to the newspaper.

Depending on where you live, cost is about $2000 for filing fee and attorney fee. You would need both parent's written consent, criminal background check, and publication. The process takes couple of months or more.
