Q. About moved out tenant who left his car !

A tenant moved out two weeks ago. He left his car with a promise take it soon.He did not pay last month rent, however, that car has been parking more than a month illegally. Did not give any phone number then and once his friend left a message to take it, but still it's there. Tried to reach that number, no answer even messages. Thought about call the towing service, but not sure it's O.K. legally if he sue me later.
Really appreciated if someone give any legal advice.
