이 지면을 통해 여러번 말씀드렸는데... 학생은 dependent이기 때문에 부모의 거주지가 학생의 거주지입니다. 부모님이 캐나다에 거주하고 계시면 학생이 캘리포니아에 아무리 오래 살고 있다고 해도 비거주자 학비를 내야 합니다. 단 학생이 independent가 되면 캘리포니아의 거주자로 됩니다만 independent가 되려면 연방정부의 Independent test를 통과해야 합니닫.
(1) Were you born before January 1, 1986
(2) As of today, are you married?
(3) Are you currently serving on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces for purposes other than training
(4) Are you a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces
(5) Do you have children who will receive more than half of their support from you between July 1, 2009, and June 30, 2010
(6) Do you have dependents (other than your children or spouse) who live with you and who receive more than half of their support from you, now and through June 30, 2010
