Power of attorney is a legal document that allows another person to act legal on your behalf. Power of attorney can be used in many situations such as to buy and sell real estate, open, maintain or transfer bank accounts, and many other matters that will involve legal documentation or signature. However, it cannot be used for purposes such as going to court on behalf of someone summoned to court or for obtaining someone's driver's license.
