Q. w-2 문의드립니다

안녕하세요 제가 예전에 opt로 일년을 일하고 w-2폼을 받았었습니다.

워킹퍼밋에 적힌대로 1/1일~12월31일까지 일을 했는데

그회사에서 다음년도 1월15일까지 택스보고한거로 나와서 w-2폼을

보름치로 또 받았습니다.

회사에 다시 말을해서 카드날짜이후에 일한거로 기록되면안되니

w-2를 철회해달라고 했는데 이런경우 한번발급받은걸로 기록되있는데

철회한다고 없던것처럼 가능한가요?

영주권인터뷰때 어떻게 말을해야할지몰라서 조언부탁드립니다.

철회했으니 안받은것처럼 1년짜리 w-2폼한장만 제출하면될까요.

회사에 정확하게 어떻게 된 상황인지 알아보는 것이 좋을 것 같습니다.
1. 보름치 일항 것은 사실이 아니라면 바로 잡아야 할 것입니다. 고용주가 제대로 수정보고 하였는지 확실하게 알아 보세요. 그 일이 매우 번거러워서 제대로 처리했는지 확실하게 확인해야 합니다.

My job is to process paychecks and issue W-2s so I know how this works.
Please note that Employers send one copy of W-2 to IRS so they have records of W-2 so you should provide the W-2 information you received for the 2nd year.
The second year of the W-2 probably included the wages earned in the previous year but paid in the following year, January. The W-2 wages go by the date of the paycheck and not the period you worked for. For i.e. you worked in December 2014 but got paid in the following month, January 2015, the W-2 form will be issued for the year of 2015.
If this is the case, you have a good reason why you received a W2 in the second year.
