Q. Questions regarding F-1 visa

Hello

I just have a quick question regarding a little issue I am having with F-1 Visa.

So it has been about 9 months since the last time I submitted all my necessary paper works to apply for F-1 Visa, but I still have not received the approval notice. Does it usually take this long to get my F-1?
Another question is, whenever I go into immigration website to check on my F-1 Visa processing status, all I see is "case was received", but nothing else. Can anybody answer me if this is a common issue people face or is there anyway I can find out what is happening?

일반적으로 신분변경을 신청하시면 대략 3~4개월 안에 결과가 나오게 됩니다. 9개월이 지나도 아무 연락이 없다면, 이민국에 인포패스 예약후 직접 방문하셔서, 지연사유에 대하여서 문의해보시기를 권해드리겠습니다.
