국무부에 허가를 받아 각 대학기관을 인준 (Accreditation)하는 대표적인 기관이 지역별로 있으며, 프로그램 특성에 따라 인준기관이 있습니다. 학교에 따라 인준 기관이 다를 수 있으며, 수준이나 레벨이 다를 수 있습니다.

앞으로 정규 대학원을 진학하시려면, 정규 대학원에서 인정하는 대학에서 공부를 하셔야 합니다. 만약 대학원이 인정해주지 않는 대학에서 공부를 하시게 되면, 대학원 입학이 어려울 수 있습니다. 또한, 인준기관의 수준, 레벨에 따라 편입등도 어려울 수 있습니다.
