Step 1:
A U.S. demand letter must be clinical, factual, and chronological.
Do not appeal to emotion;
emphasize the breach of their own terms and timelines.

Below is a structured template you can adapt:
답변일 9/7/2026 9:28:33 AM
[Your Full Name]
[Your Registered Shop/Seller Name, if applicable]
[Your Email Address Registered on the Platform]
[Your Phone Number, including +82]
[Your Address in South Korea]

[Date: September 7, 2026]

Attn: Legal Department / Corporate Claims
[U.S. Platform Company Name]
[U.S. Corporate Headquarters Address]

RE: FORMAL DEMAND FOR UNSETTLED FUNDS ? Account ID: [Your Account/Store ID]

To Whom It May Concern,

This letter serves as a formal demand for payment
regarding a transaction completed in April 2026,
for which funds have been unlawfully withheld by [Platform Name]
for nearly five months.

I am a resident of South Korea operating in good faith on your platform.
As documented in my account history,
the transaction in question was executed properly:
the buyer submitted payment,
and I successfully delivered the goods in strict accordance with
the buyer's payment and the platform’s Terms of Service.

Despite fulfilling all seller obligations,
I have not received the required settlement.
I have repeatedly contacted your customer support network since April 2026.
On multiple occasions, support representatives acknowledged that
there were no errors on my part (no incorrect banking or personal data entered)
and explicitly stated that the delay was a direct result
of "the negligence of the platform company's employees."

Furthermore, during an escalation on July 13, 2026,
I was assured in writing that the issue would be resolved
within a maximum timeframe of 30 to 45 days.
As of today, that timeline has expired by over a week with
no payout or definitive resolution,
constituting a breach of your own formal service assurances.

Please be advised that if the full unsettled amount of $[Insert Exact Amount USD]
is not cleared and transferred to my designated account
within fourteen (14) business days of the date of this letter,
I will pursue further escalation.
This will include filing formal cross-border commercial complaints
with U.S. federal regulatory agencies and,
if necessary, initiating a legal dispute or arbitration claim
as permitted under your platform's Terms of Service.

I expect immediate confirmation that this matter has been routed to
a corporate escalations manager or legal counsel.

Sincerely,

[Your Signature]

Step 2: How to Submit It From South Korea

Look up the Registered Agent or Corporate HQ:
Search for the platform's official "Registered Agent for Service of Process"
or their Corporate Headquarters address
(usually found in their "Terms of Service" or "About Us" pages).
Send via International Certified Mail / DHL:
Send a physical copy via DHL or Korea Post (EMS) with
Tracking and Signature Required.
This provides legal proof that someone at their corporate office physically
signed for your demand letter.
Target Specific Emails: If they have a designated email for legal inquiries
(e.g., legal@platform.com or appeals@platform.com),
copy and paste the text there as well.

Step 3: U.S. Regulatory Escalation Paths (If They Ignore the Letter)

If the 14-day window passes without a response,
you can file official complaints online from South Korea.
U.S. platforms take federal and state regulatory complaints
significantly more seriously than customer tickets.

- The Better Business Bureau (BBB): File a complaint on the BBB Website.
While not a government agency, major U.S. tech and e-commerce platforms
maintain high-level corporate teams dedicated strictly
to resolving BBB complaints to protect their public rating.

- Federal Trade Commission (FTC): You can report cross-border commercial fraud
or unfair business practices via ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
They handle international consumer and merchant
complaints involving U.S. companies.
답변일 9/7/2026 9:49:44 AM
- State Attorney General: Look up the U.S. state where
the platform is incorporated (often Delaware, California, or Washington).
File a consumer/merchant protection complaint directly
through that specific State Attorney General’s website.
